Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, stands at the crossroads of ancient civilizations, blending Latin and Byzantine influences. Its rich history is reflected in its diverse population, creating a vibrant city mosaic. The expansive Old Town, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases an array of architectural styles and well-preserved medieval streets.

Surrounded by lush green forests, hills, and winding rivers, Vilnius is a city embraced by nature. Nearly half of its landscape is filled with parks, squares, and woodlands, offering an oasis of greenery at every turn. Within the city limits, residents and visitors alike can enjoy the tranquillity of nature without leaving the city or even the historic Old Town.

Today, Vilnius is at the forefront of eco-friendly initiatives, with an extensive network of bicycle paths and a variety of public charging points to choose from for electric cars. Hotels and conference venues have also embraced sustainability, implementing eco-friendly practices and technologies. Recognized as the European Green Capital for 2025, Vilnius boasts serene surroundings, minimal noise pollution, extensive green spaces, and the cleanest air among major EU cities.

Welcome to Vilnius, where we extend our warmest greetings to all attendees of ICEP 2025!

ICEP 2025 International Conference on Environmental Psychology Vilnius, Lithuania, 2025

Current geopolitical events have caused nature devastation, destroying ecological systems and severely undermining the path towards sustainability. Such events might push environmental protection to the background since more urgent social and economic issues need attention. To address this complex and sensitive issue, urgent interdisciplinary efforts need to be taken. ICEP, being interdisciplinary in nature, is capable of reacting to these issues, and hence we propose the conference theme:

“Addressing environmental crisis in the face of geopolitical challenges.”

Please note:

As in previous years, please be aware that there is another 2025 conference called the International Conference on Environmental Psychology (ICEP). It is scheduled for different dates and places. The conference is organized by WASET, an organization known for hosting “predatory conferences” (search in Google on “WASET scam”). We do not recommend it to anyone. The ICEP organized by WASET is not in any way connected to or endorsed by the IAAP, nor is it organized by any reputable environmental psychology group or international/European Association known to us.
